Car just arrived at the dealership, and the rims are wrong.....and awesome?!

So I ordered a 2013 328i Coupe with M Sport and a few other goodies a little over a month ago. CA just texted me and said the car has arrived and will be PDI'd shortly. He included a couple of pictures, and I noticed something was amiss.....

Notice anything odd? I didn't opt for anything different than the normal M sport rims. Is it just me, or are those the Style 313s? He said they're 19s. There is no difference with my MSRP and he suggested maybe the factory made a mistake.

Has anyone else recently taken delivery of an M sport 3 and had this mistake?

I don't know whether to be super stoked about the wheel upgrade or to really dread when the time comes to replace the tires! Ah hell with it, I'm totally excited about the accident.

Shhhh... calmly leave the dealership and don't look back even if they yell your name.

Hah, my CA knows it was a mistake on their part and has already assured me it won't affect the numbers we've already crunched. If I'm right about them being 313s, that would have added $5k to my build....

Maybe they 'accidentally' put a 335is engine/turbo under the hood as well.

Expect its a mistake because IIRC you can only get 313X18" on the 135. 18" are standard on the 335is & 313X19" are $1K optional. That being said, the 313X18" are near $4K extra on the 135 so enjoy them if it works out.

Thanks for the good words. I have bugged the crap out of my CA for the past hour making absolutely sure that A. that's my car (it is), and B. I won't be asked to pay any extra because of the wheels (which I would refuse anyway). I imagine the car will be a little rougher in its ride, but I'm coming from a MINI Cooper S so that doesn't really matter to me. I do know the tires will be more expensive, but not substantially more than the 18s I would have gotten so I think for the free $5k, I can handle that.

Hah, if that was indeed the case, I could probably bet on the fact that my car would really be a 1 and only. As it is, I'm cool with the happy accident.

Consider moving to get flats with the 19" you will be much happier with the car.

Thanks. My replacement wheels will definitely be non-runflats. I had an '08 328i coupe before and replaced the OEM runflats with nons and the difference truly was night and day.

Hmm, well I just looked at inventories of other dealerships in this area and they have a few 328i coupes with M sport that have wheels like these and some that have the other wheels. Is it possible that BMW has recently changed the standard M sport wheels? Surely not to 19s though right?

Love it as 4 once someone scored for us... Uncanny how they just didn't toss the 18'313's instead but possibly since the e92 is ending it's cycle maybe a shortage?? All i know is they better slap those babies on mine or else!! Once again good luck & drive with a great big grin!!

Completely, whole heatedly, agreed. Sucks that I can't take delivery until Tuesday! The next four days as going to be worse than the last month and a half combined!

Btw, I suppose I should say I'm buying this car for an agreed upon price of $42,300. If these truly are the 19" 313s, the car would have an MSRP of just over $52k. I'm cool with what is effectively then a $10k discount on a brand new car. If, indeed, these are the 19s.

BMW has been randomly adding these for several months now. My father and leased 328s in November. He got one that was already at the port with the 313s. I ordered mine and it showed up with the standard M Sport 152s. Congrats, the 313s are awesome!

Wow, seriously? So how do they rationalize charging $5k for them if you opt for them, and throw them on for free to other people's cars? Or do they just not actually charge for them if they're opted for on the configurator? I would be somewhat livid if I paid the $5k for them and then found out other folks were getting them free! Of course, since I am one of those other folks, I don't mind myself....

Also, aren't they taking a bit of a gamble putting them on a special order assuming the customer would want them? What if the customer didn't want to have to deal with the added expense of the 19" tires, or didn't like the look over the standard 152s, or whatever? Again, that doesn't matter to me because I love the way these look, but I can imagine some weird people might be a little upset with an unexpected change.
