Blue Screen in Dash
Anybody know what this blue screen is on my new 35I X3? Less than 200 miles on it and this just showed up. Tried dimming controls... No luck. It's pretty bright at night.

It;s part of the dash cluster but in a electronic display form.

Re: blue screen in dash
Yes, that is the computerized display segment of the instrument panel. You need to adjust the instrument panel brightness using the Instrument Lighting thumbwheel next to the light controls. Dial it down until the backlight is dimmer.

Yep. That's what I did but its still kinda bright. Just doesn't look right, even when dimmed to the lowest setting. I could have swore it wasn't there when I drove the vehicle home the night I bought it. I'm guessing this is a normal blue screen that everyone is seeing at night in their X3? |

Try this...
In the iDrive MENU, SETTINGS, there's a BRIGHTNESS control. I think it may equally adjust the brightness of both the center console display and the info display on the instrument panel.
