Issues with reverse shift

Howdy - I've had my 2013 X3 for 3 months now and I think I've experienced my first problem. I had to stop suddenly after going 30 MPH and then had to back-up (rather quickly) to avoid something, but when I put the car in reverse it wouldn't budge. The camera didn't appear on my screen either, so it didn't recognize that I shifted into reverse. I turned the car off and then back on again. When I shifted to reverse, it worked.

I thought perhaps this was related to my sudden stop. However, within a week I had one more incident when I wanted to back into a parking space and, after shifting into reverse, the camera didn't come on and the screen gave me a message saying I wasn't in reverse. I shifted into drive and back into reverse and it finally engaged.

Anyone else having this issue?
