Looking at a 328i - questions about VIN option
Thanks in advance!
I'm looking at a very base model 2010 328i (mfr date: 10/28/2009) and did a VIN decode, and had a couple of questions: 1. It says xenon adaptive headlights as standard. Did xenon become standard equipment? (my current BMW is a 2007 Z4, so I've been out of touch on upgrades to std equipment). 2. It shows S704A M Sport suspension as an option. Doesn't that seem like an odd option to take when the car doesn't even have the sport package or premium package? Also, I read that the latest LCI was implemented in 2011 models. The pics that Carmax is showing me for this car are definitely what Wikipedia is showing as the 2011 LCI (new rocker panels, longer orange reflector on edge of front wheel wells, "smoothed/straightened" upper edge of headlights). Since this car was produced in late 2009 as a 2010 model, does it make sense it'd be the latest LCI? Really appreciate any insight. Last edited by ag90fox; 03-20-2013 at 08:12 AM.

It's because you're looking at an E92. And it is pre-lci for the coupe.
