windshield washer fluid problem

My new e38 i bough has a problem. The washer fluid doesnt wanna spray. It seems like it has No pressure. I can hear the pump working. The resevoir is full. But it only sprays out the passenger side and only about 6 inches. Do the pumps go out or something?
Also if it helps... the front bumper is off so no lines are connected to the headlight washer nozzles, could it be pouring out of there? I dont know how the headlight lines are routed (Bought the car wrecked). But i havent seen any fluid on the ground either.
Any help guys?

Thanks. Got it all hooked up and it works. Now all i need to do is hook up the. Headlight nozzles. Do they connect to the nipple on top of the reservoir?

It's difficult to help you since you have no car info other than you own a 1999 Cougar...which doesn't help us to help you better at all when it comes to your BMW.

Please consider creating a permanent signature that includes your model/model year/build date...again, this goes a long way to help us help you better. For instance, I'd love to post a diagram of the headlamp washer system, but I don't want to give you the wrong diagram...which could occur not knowing which e38 model/model year/ build date you have.

BTW, I'm pretty sure that the lines to the headlamp washers would be connected to the 2nd pump on the reservoir that is for the headlamps.

(diagram below if from using my 97 e38 in the diagram search for the lines for the headlamp washing system)

Oh sorry I posted in the e38 forum assuming u guys would know. I have a 1998 740ill. And its just missing the lines for the headlights. I don't know if there is another reservoir but the is another nipple on the top of the mAin reservoir and it looks like it could because port for the headlight washers

Headlamp & windshield uses the same reservoir...but each has it's own pump. The diagram in my reply above shows the "lines" for the headlamp washers...and that line attaches to the head light washer pump...not the nipple on top of the reservoir (which I think is a venting feature of the reservoir).

You can see the pump's nipple (lower left) where the line attaches:

In the pic below, you can see the e38's reservoir with both the headlamp (left) and windshield (right) pumps...with a small portion of the "line" attached to each:
