Arrow Low rev misfire and hesitation

Hi folks,

Recently my UK 2008 740i N62TU has developed a interesting fault that is proving troublesome to resolve.

Basically the idle is good, when blipping the throttle between 500 and 1500rpm the engine is misfiring and shaking. Continues to misfire with foot off the throttle until the idle settles.
Above 1500rpm the engine sounds great and has full power.
Also apparent when pulling off from a start or very low speed, feels hesitant and definitely misfiring but fine when above 2000rpm.

There is no engine management lights or fault codes. Car has been into BMW and under warranty the following has been changed:-
Fuel pump
Fuel filter
2 ignition coils
2 CCV units

Still the fault remains.
Hoping that the knowledge on this forum will help fix it.

I am thinking maybe a vacuum leak or a camshaft sensor?

Many thanks
Karl

Start with the simplest thing...re-gab plugs or replace them all. Make sure to gap the new plugs before you install. Crank or cam sensor would be my next guess if you already replaced coil packs.

Just to update this thread, the car has been into BMW and had the following replaced:-
Fuel Pump
2 ignition Coils
All plugs
Fuel filter
CCV units.
Crankcase breather pipe at the front of the engine

It is a lot smoother and better to drive, but the misfire is still occurring between 500 and 1500 rpm when blipping the throttle quickly.

Has anybody any thoughts or ideas from here?
