BMW 535i 1997 automatic gearbox problem

When the engine is warm then the gear stick becomes stiff. With cold motor everything works fine and for example changing gear from Park to Drive is smooth, but after a long ride I need to use some extra force to do so. Also sometimes it doesn't recognize Park so the Park light in dashboard wont light up. So if I want to start the car I have to put it into neutral. What could be the problem.. friend of mine told me that it could be the Transmission Position Switch (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...edy5242/75.png).

Thank You!_a_
