E39 (1997 - 2003)
The BMW 5-Series (E39 chassis) was introduced in the United States as a 1997 model year car and lasted until the 2004 when the E60 chassis was released. The United States saw several variations including the 525i, 528i, 530i and 540i. -- View the E39 Wiki

Need Help with codes

I have a 1999 540i I just recently got the water pump and thermostat replaced. Now I have two CEL codes 1519 and 1522.
Please Help any suggestions would be appreciated

Take t back to the shop. They may have damaged something. The cabling for these two sensors is in the area where they'd be working.

P1519 "A" Camshaft Position Actuator Bank 1

Just got my 540 out of the shop they replaced the 2 vanos solenoids and 2 camshaft position sensors. Got my friend to reset the CEL it went off but unfortunately came right back on. Is there such a thing as faulty CPS I bought the Beck and Arnley brand.
