what size tires?

Has anyone compared the ride with the standard 17" tires vs. 18" tires for the i28?
I always thought the larger the tire, the harsher the ride.

Any thoughts?

The larger the wheel, the smaller the tire, the harsher the ride.

The 17s are smaller wheels with larger tires and smoother ride.

Thanks for the clarification.

My ulterior motive is to use my (expensive) winter run flats from my 128i. Hope they're compatible.
