Performance Center Delivery

We are on the California Highway with arrival at port of Charleston SC around 1 or 2 April. Anyone else on that ship with Performance Center Delivery?

Same situation! I bet our X1s will be on the same truck from Charleston. My dealer cannot get a confirmed PCD date. Not sure what the hold up is. Will be flying down from PA for the pickup so want to book tickets.

We are also on the California Highway. Asked for PCD but was told no since I was getting the USAA discount. Not sure why it matters. Given pickup date in dealer in Atlanta of week of 4/7.

Any reason given on the USAA vs PCD? I am about to pull the trigger on this as well and want both. Is it a dealer issue or BMWNA issue/ Did you order from BMW South Atlanta?

Was told it was a BMWNA issue. Ordered it from United in Roswell. Go ahead and try it and let's see what happens.

I don't really understand this. I am paying about $500 over invoice with no special discounts and get PCD. If you are paying less than that with the USAA discount, I guess it makes sense since BMWNA is probably taking a financial hit to cover the discount. But if you are paying about the same, then I am guessing that the dealer is not taking as much of a haircut and BMWNA is essentially paying for part of the purchase price with the USAA discount. No insider information, just a guess. If you are paying about the same, I would push the dealer to offer the same price without the USAA discount and still get the PCD.

Cannot tell you where I heard this but someone told me that once the Performance Center knows delivery times, they will submit three dates to the dealer. Once you pick a date, then you start talking with the Performance Center. I also have not heard anything about pick up yet either.

It is my understanding the two programs are separate. PCD is an alternative that is within the $895 delivery fee and that part of the dealer's cost for PDI and detail is not needed.

perhaps we can get a dealer to let us know.
