Green instead of chrome? I wouldn't, but it's your car. I would love to see pics when you are done.

Fast and furious style painting and modifying is an old fad man.. Gettin cars back to their original beauty with genuine paint colours and parts is where it's at.. Or at least genuine looking parts and mods..!!

Though, each to their own.. If that's what you want then go for it.. F**k what others think!!

Get in, sit down, hang on, shut up!!

BMW used to have fantastic racing colors and stripes in the 70's and 80's.. why not do a throw back? Also theres been many BMW art cars.. Maybe do a tribute or something if your gonna go wild..

if you do not like the trim being chrome, a flat or satin black will compliment your gloss nicely.. IF YOUR SET ON THE WHOLE KEN BLOCK LOOK, OK

I JUST HOPE THE REST IS NOT STOCK, or it will make no sense at all!...

they sell green painters tape you need to paint the trim anyways.. tape over it with the green tape and stand back 20 feet.. and say..

I was never big on the chrome thing. Look into Blackout trim. It is a nice looking alternative.

Ask yourself "What am I trying to achieve?" You may want to go a different route such as another color or even a different car. Are you concerned about resale value? If you plan on using garish colors, you may want to go all out including installing a wild body kit. As most here will agree, subtle mods and colors look best on a classic BMW. Leave the neon colors to Honda's, Toyota's, and Nissan's. I think the green painters tape is a good idea to see if you really want to use that color. Black Plasti-dip spray paint is cheap, easy, and looks great. It's also easier to remove if you don't like it later. But, as with any mod, do what YOU like and be considerate of others opinions even if they conflict with yours. Have fun!

I discovered I scream the same way whether I'm about to be eaten by a great white shark or if a piece of seaweed touches my foot.

I bet he is a young guy. I remember, but will not tell, the crap I did to some of my earliest cars. Most either harmed the car or made me look like a fool. Some did both.

I can only chuckle at the poster's suggestion as it could be interesting but not for me. Hey, I even thought about wrapping my mirrors in some contrasting color like Burnt Orange a few months ago. Our cars need to be fun as well as semi-practical. The wrap idea still seems like fun. May look into it when it is not snowing, like today.
