BMW X5 E53 Won't start. please help.

Greetings all,

I own a BMW X5 E53 2003 3.0d and yesterday as I got on it to start it, the vehicle started very hard (not as usual), ran for approximately 5 minutes and once i put it in drive and started driving it drove 2 to 3 meters and died. I tried to restart it but just won't start, it cranks but will not start. There are no codes in the dashboard, everything else works as usual, This all happened so suddenly, could it be a fuel pump or something. Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Took it to the shop, and it was the fuel pump, during the diagnosis the mechanic found more codes about the engine, transmission and ABS system. So it will be in the shop for another week or so. Lucky me huh...?
I appreciate all of you for your comments.

Thank you,
