Based on the ordering guide, that is just false.

The only restrictions are as follows:
-223 requires ordering ZDH
-609 cannot be ordered with ZTP
-609 will add 6AK, 6AM, 6AP and 6NR to the order
-6AN requires ordering ZTP
-Color 416 requires ordering ZMP
-ZDB requires ordering ZDA
-ZMP requires ordering 300, 354, 416, 475, A52, A76 or A82

The only restrictions on ZMP (MSport Package) is that the choice of colors is more limited.

that's what I said. apparently after some research you cant get drivers asst, msport, and cold weather. you can only choose 2 of 3, even though the order guide does not mention this at all.

I have heard that the problem is the heated steering wheel in combination with the lane departure warning. I guess you can't get both in the steering wheel!

it just seems odd that this isn't in the order guide. im in the process to see if this is just an error with the ordering system

It shows that you can not order the assistance plus package with cold weather.

2014 x3 does not have zdb. its all one package and no restriction is placed on the order guide. you would think it could be possible, since on 3, 5, 6, 7, x5, x6 you can order heated steering wheel with msport wheel and lane depature

That is not what the order guide shows. I have the order guide in front of me and as Durkis shows it clearly has ZDA and ZDB.

Unless of course there are 2 order guides!

Okay Okay.... Funny you mentioned 2 order guides.

I just checked the one my dealer gave me over this past weekend. I compared that to what Jon Shafer posted over in the X3 section on this forum, and his version does not have the exclusions my order guide has.

Which one is right ?

I think yours is for a 2013 as zdb doesn't exist anymore. My dealer has the same as Jon's

I have scanned what I have, It says 2014 on it.

This is confusing !

Let me know what you guys think.

EDIT: After reviewing further, Johns says released in January, my copy says released 3/11/13. Its in small print bottom right of every page.

Durkis,

Yours is indeed the newer version as it also shows the slight increase in price to the Technology package ($150 more) but the package also includes 6NS. The January order guide has 6NS as a $500 extra.

Having said that, BOTH BMW USA 2014 order guides clearly show a ZDB package so I have no idea where Jblackbelt is getting his information from!

Thanks Durkis. That is a big help!

I spoke with someone at corporate yesterday. The reason is indeed the heated steering wheel compatibility with lane departure warning. Just would be nice if they made the other cold weather package options available to be ordered.

So if I am reading the latest 2014 pricing guide correctly, it looks like the M-Sport package (ZMP) can be ordered with both (223) Dynamic Damper Control and (2VG) Performance Control as part of its $3,000 MSRP. When ordered in combination with (ZDH - Dynamic Handling Package), the ZDH price is $1,300.00 MSRP. For that price, the only additional option that is not already part of ZMP is (2VL) Variable sport steering. Does it sound right that this one feature would be $1,300.00 when ZMP is also being ordered?

Also, does anyone know if the $750.00 loyalty cash is available on 2014's?

thanks,
Ron

Yeah...I asked 3 dealers this today. No one knows but they all agree that it seems weird. Yes...loyalty cash is available on the 2014s
