Continental DWS (yes, all-seasons instead of true summer tires). Quite a difference from the Blizzak WS-70 tires I run in the winter.

Not until it's warm enough to wash it. My poor car is filthy!

Zooks, we are going to have at least one more significant snowfall. You heard it here first.
Never take the snows off before Easter, or Tax Day, whichever occurs last. Were you around for the big Mother's Day snowstorm a couple decades ago? Maybe not so bad down your way, broke all the branches off the trees in bloom up here.

I have only driven my e90 for about a week or two on non-winter tires (bought it then I saw the forecast). Man I can't wait to do the changeover so that i can really see what this car can do! I am thinking Apr 5th ish - assuming a clear forecast. Then I can think about getting a spring detail!

Hey guys. I just got a 2013 335 xi with 18's....comes with run flats etc. I drove it last week and it was like driving in an ice rink.

What tires should I get for the winter time? And how much would it cost to mount and balance then etc.

Hey, I remember it snowing on the last day of classes both my freshman and sophomore years in college. Hell, I remember ice on Mt. Washington in June 2 years ago.

But, I'm running A/S tires on an xDrive. It does let me put them on late and take them off early.

And Zooks if it does happen to snow you will bare fist hand witness to the capabilities of the DWS tires in winter conditions. I run the DWS year round and the car drives like a snow cat. Not to bring up this old and tired argument again........

Looking forward to some warmer weather.

I had the "pleasure" of running DWS in the October snowstorm last fall.

I was underwhelmed. While they were ok ("ok", not "good") in snow only, at one point I found myself on sleet-over-ice at a stop light. I was moving at a dead walk (under 3 mph) when the light went red, stepped on the brake, had all 4 wheels lock, and Newton drove until about 12 feet later when 1 wheel finally reached pavement.
