That is just plain SICK! I wonder what the track specs are on it. Do you think it will eat the M6 dinner or what?

That car is ridiculous...sounds great! I wonder if there are any videos of it moving. Did anyone else see after the video was over the E30 with V12 conversion on the other videos list

BMW brochure says 438Hp and 444 torque. V10 has 383 ft lbs of torque. So, about 60 ft lbs of torque more than the V10

I read about this ride in BMW Performance Magazine a couple years back. Funny thing is I have this issue on my desk at home.

I'll put up the information from that article after work. I've attached the cover of the mag below. You might be able to find the PDF for it online....

I searched on "BMW Performance Magazine six shooter"

you have to go back into the back issues. and you can buy just one issue. it was September 2009

btw: I have NO idea where that guy thinks he gets 600bhp from that motor, or a 3.8 second 0-60 time. BMW rates the stock 760 at 438HP and 444 ft lbs. 0-60 is 5.4 seconds on a 760. Now, the 645 does weigh a lot less. A stock 645 is about 3800 lbs, (my 760Li is 4800 lbs, I weighed it) but adding the V12 to a 645 has to be good for another 200 lbs at least. So it's a 4000-4100 lb car now. Sure it will accelerate faster than a 760, but 1.6 seconds faster? I doubt it.

all he mentions for performance mods is a K&N type intake filter set and some hi-flow cats and a 3" exhaust. No way he somehow magically added 162 hp.

That said: I personally can see the benefit of having a car that weighs just a bit more than an M6 (which is 3900 lbs according to the 2007 brochure) and having 60 lb ft more torque than an M6, by using the v12.

The other interesting gift you get is this: the final drive ratio on a 760 is 3.15 vs 3.48 on 645 V8 car. But the gears in the transmissions of the two cars are the same. So if you keep the 645s differential, the acceleration with the V12 in it will be not only quicker because of more HP, but quicker also, because the V12 is working less hard through the differential, through all the gears. And then, yes, the car weighs about 800 lbs less than the V12 is used to. I would be very happy with a 4.4 -4.8 second car in this case.
