tailgate lift cylinders replacement

After much research on the lift cylinders on my E61 wagon, I finally found a shop that was able to diagnose the problem and order the parts...the seals were leaking and also a tiny leak in the fluid tank. Had to buy the whole kit at $800 and although the replacement labor was estimated a 3 hours, it actually took 6...big job and had to remove quite a lot of interior.
The shop bit the bullet and stuck with the estimate of $1100. Works perfect and I am recovering from the shock of the cost. Very nice wagon, and very fast indeed.
