19" 225M Cracked Wheel Issue on 2011 335is--Help!!!

I was alarmed to discover that one of my rear wheels (225M, 19", OEM), on my 2011 335is with only about 13K miles, was not holding air after getting a new set of non-runflat tires. Discount Tire discovered that the wheel was cracked in three places. The wheel looks cosmetically perfect from the front. I brought the car to a BMW dealer in Texas and they are claiming that the wheel is out of round.... or something like that (and that it's sustained an impact that caused the cracks, that it was elf-induced) and therefore it could not be covered under warranty. I asked that they ask BMW to make an exception since the car was carefully driven and the wheel looked cosmetically perfect and since many people in the UK and Australia (and probably US) have reported cracking issues with the 19" 225m and because I have bought 4 BMWs in recent history.... the regional CSR (?) for BMW said something like, "we decline to participate...." or something like that.

Could the cracked wheel have occurred first and then some degree of out of round came later....?

They said the wheel was measured with a micrometer without taking the wheel off the car.... Do you know how they could or should be making this type of measurement...?

When Discount Tire was unmounting those run flats there was some trouble getting the equipment to attach to the lip of the wheel.... they ended up expanding the machine inside the wheel.... now that I'm thinking back on how they struggled (slightly damaging the face of two wheels), I'm thinking that this wheel might have been damaged at that time.... I'm thinking that this pneumatic device possibly has the capability to exert excessive force on the wheel from the inside..... Any thoughts about this machine possibly having caused the damage based on this use described above...?

Would you expect or have you heard anything about BMW covering possible wheel defects like this...?

Can you PM me with anyone in particular to contact at BMW that might be helpful in this matter...?

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Robert

Don't know what its worth but RFT can be a real b**ch to get off. I helped the guy at the indie I use & it took us quite a bit of work & time not to damage the wheels on what it usually a one man job. That being said they could have been cracked just as easy by a pot hole.
