Just crossed the 18,000 mile mark with my 2013 X3. My mileage is 27.5 hwy and 23 around town. I've tried different driving styles/modes with highway driving with my best mpg being just over 28. Average highway trip is 350 miles one way.

We have a 2011 X3 35i Sportline, no ASS and no Eco-Pro mode. This is my wife's car, and I don't normally check mileage. On a solo trip yesterday, I drove about 150 miles in Normal mode on Interstates and averaged 70 mph and 29 mpg according to the trip computer (I reset that at the start of the trip).

Mein Auto: X3 3.0d M-Sport (2013)
Just been out for a drive in my 3.0d M-sport - only did a short five miles and averaged 49.4 MPG from cold in ECO mode. I reset the trip computer mid way through the drive and it was registering 54.3MPG at one point and settled at 52.4 MPG. Its 2.0C here so very cold so not bad. I have only had the car a week and it has done 484 miles so far.

I am also impressed with the fuel economy on my 2012 X3 28i. I have only 7000km's on it and get on average 8.7 L per 100 km's! That is impressive, my 2008 V-6 Toyota RAV4 never came close to that except on the highway and I am mostly in the city with my X-3? I bought this X-3 used and it has the 6 cylinder engine, I almost regretted not waiting for the 2013 with the turbo 4 cylinder but I don't think the fuel economy would have been much better and dishing out much more money for a 2013.

1500 miles now an I've noticed a few big things. Running a tank of gas from the east coast chain wawa cost me 2 miles to the gallon vs Exxon Mobil. 10 mph (80 vs 70mph) costs a whopping 5-6 mpg. All these folks getting high mileage must be real law abiders

My mpg is all about how I drive. I tried Eco mode and paying attention to my right foot for about 20 miles on the highway and saw 27.5 mpg and it was still climbing slowly on my 35i. I just can't drive in this gas conserving mode very long.

Combined city and highway and staying in the sport mode like I normally do, I see about 21 mpg combined. Unfortunately to survive in a world of aggressive drivers, I find being in the sport mode my comfort zone. I'm still very happy with the mileage so far. I'm at 2800 miles and just pushed the car to the 6k rpm point after 2500 miles.
