What? Seriously, bumper swap is super-easy. Pop the trim strips off and it will be pretty obvious. For the front you'll have to take the screws out in the wheel openings and disconnect the fogs, but those and four nuts are all that hold it on. Rear is just as easy.

Easier with two, but I've had mine off and on many times by myself.

I wish I was closer....I could use the $100.....and lunch!

Ive done the e36 front bumper a million times by myself, easy I promise. Tried doing Ashlins rear bumper yesterday by myself, no bueno, It's super heavy. I held the bumper up and Ashlin had to guide it into the grooves

i do this almost weekly without thinking about it.just disconnect the fogs and fender liners and remove three pieces of trim pop off of the front, 4 bolts and it's loose, assembly is the same but in reverse

it's really a 1 person job when it comes down to it, I don't think there's too many BMW techs at the dealer bugging the other techs to help him put the front bumper cover back on after he replaces the fan or radiator or something.

you can do this, you're pysching yourself out

Whoa whoa hold the presses. Who is Ashlin?

And bumper install is a piece of cake. Be sure to align the tabs on the side, but it's so easy you won't even chip your nails. Manicure friendly, I'll vouch for that.

If you need to take the panty waist approach, you can just pull the bumper skin by itself. Just pop out the plastic rivets under the trim pieces. Then there's 4 plastic rivets that go into the bumper from the bottom side. If you pop out the lower grill you can get to them easily. Unscrew the screws on the bottom of the bumper skin to disconnect the cover from the lower plastics and you're there!
