Drivers door won't open! door panel is off

Hello,

I am getting really pissed here! I purchased 2 actuators to replace them because both front locks weren't working. Yesterday, the drivers door locked when I inserted the spare key and started driving. It won't unlock. I have taken the door panel off, and done everything I could think of doing with the locking mechanism and the door will not unlock. How the hell do I get the door open to replace the actuator?

Thanks

Edit: i called three BMW dealerships and none of them would help. They made me really mad, saying they don't offer technical support. Really? This is a safety hazard.

Solved.

After tooling with it for an hour, I found that if you keep pressing the lock button on the remote while pulling up the plunger, it will unlock.

Glad you found an solution. Can't imagine any dealership would help as you are DIYing it and they have no idea what you've done so far, makes them responsible for the advice they give you, and what financial incentive would they have?
