Looking to buy BMW, need advise

Hi all,
Just start looking for car replacement, feel in love with 328 i , 2008, 27xxx miles, premium package, no navi.
The price is fair-$ 20500, just do not know anything about this car.
Will appreciated any advise, cons and pros.
I am not crazy about spending too much in maintenance or repair.
Is there anything that I should be aware before I make the move?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

Which posts did you read about the 328i that raised questions?

More details please.

Sedan, Wagon, Coupe, Cabrio?

Auto/MT?

Perhaps the reason you have heard very little is 'cause for the most part the 328i community doesn't have much to fuss about.

As long as you drive it to it's liking,
Feed it with the proper gasoline,
take it for regular oil changes, and maintain tire pressures

and pay close attention to it's maintenance requests it will probably be kind to you in return.

To Nordic_Kat's point, 328i owners appear to have fewer issues in general and so we don't post as much, at least not about what's going wrong. That's not to say that 335i owners bought the wrong car, that's faaaar from being the case.

The inline 6 in the 328i has just been refined over so many generations that it's pretty reliable. That's what I've read around here anyway. I've only had my car for about a month.

So here's what I can offer you from my limited experience with the 328i:
Pros
-Sounds great
-Decent gas mileage, though my car is an xDrive so it does worse on gas
-Fast enough for me most of the time, but the 335i blows it out of the water, no contest
-Reliable
-Cheaper to maintain

Cons
-Not as powerful as the turbocharged motor
-Generally fewer modifications available

That's all I can think of right now.

I personally love the 328i xDrive that I have, but it'll really be a question if you can do without the extra power the 335i has. As for maintenance, it should be fine and I haven't ready about any major issues with the N52 aside from loud valve lifters, but there's a fix for that.
