Strange rear end "shiftiness".

Just bought my e36 M3. Its 165,000 and have receipts, original sticker etc. My first trip was Sunday, and I noticed when under strong accell and in some cornering situations, it reacted "weirdly" it seemed to me...as if something was shifting in the rear end.
I researched common issues (rTAB), etc. Has Konis , not sure about springs (yet!
I was going to just replace bushings and other wear parts, just to reset to as new.. Anywhere on here a list of what needs replacing? Best source for non oem (streetable but stronger than oem) bushings to redo the rear end? May upgrade to FI in future (mildly)..
THANKS!

THANKS!! Great read! (and newby new reco, !) Pls send more!

Ok, SO I have drilled and slotted rotors, (not sure about pads..YET! Again just a week old! Work SUCKS (and kids, & kids mom have NEEDS! (besides my car is theirs!hehe
Why sold a NEW 350 Z for 1/2 almost 4 yrs old, but glad I did...Kicking myself for not driving a used M3 b4 buying a Z. The 1996 M3 is a MUCH better DRIVERS car than my Z was, even tho Z bought at stealer, and M has 165,000 (well documented maintained) miles! WOW! M FEELS faster, tho at 80+ its screaming on interstate...
Read all
I'm 56, hoping to take my son, (325 with "M" conversion) excepting engine! his Mom, 328 5 speed, 215,000 miles 4d, bilstens, K &N, synthetics, to driver school! What a GREAT family outing!

Everyone loves the new car (M)..Me thinks I need to fix the issue so it not flying off track when pushed! (or worse, the road!)

Awesome! Sounds like quite the family. the M3 subforum doesn't get as much traffic as the regular E36 forum. You'll find more activity there if you post a new 'Hello' thread.

But take pictures, they won't accept you without pictures.

ALso (I re read your #1 advice read..)
I already changed to Amsoil 10/40w , Mann filter, Lucas, AND Seafoam Fuel system cleaners, new fuel filter (bosch), and will (ASAP lube arrives change out gear lube and trans oil (looks clear still, so receipts verify maintainance). The interior leather is shot (front only)..don't understand how that BAD compared to rear?!? Should I try autoberry? or just put recaro's or equivalent in it?

Powerflex (Lynn) has been AWESOME! Won't let me buy until I elevate and evaluate! Wow! I will after work 2 morrow...Any suggetions I should go ahead on re preventative maintainance?

Thanks all! Really!

FYI!
Always bought Z's from my 2nd car, a 71 (wish I still had it!). Traded for a POS overheating, THIRSTY, bad driving and terrible handling (after Z) 427 t top vette 1969)..Yeah I know coulda cashed in...BUT woulda blown motor from hot issues and still NOT FUN!
Z (compared to e36M I bought) is the same...FUN, no EXHILIRATING to drive! I never "connected" with my son, until he drove my new (to me) M3... Wondered if he could recognize what he was experiencing, since NO experience..! YES! His grin said it all! Now we discussing mods and driver schools (Track Days!!)
Selling great diesel chevy, truck (diesel 5 speed cheap bought so cheap sold towing beast) to pay for his M3/325 (for now)..The truck is listed on a diesel forum only, as the mods and history are great...(low miles). (256)794-2382 for tow truck and dd gets 24 on hwy, or better, sometimes, (off ODO after tank fill gal divided by miles clocked)

Great! Sounds like you're very excited about it all. A common maintenance item to perform ASAP, especially if the work is undocumented from the previous owner is the entire cooling system. There's quite a bit to it, but it's pretty easy to do in a few hours if you're handy with a wrench.

Check this kit out, though you can find everything you need in other places, as well.

My first wife had choice of my cousin setting up driving school with Skip B, (He won Daytona and sebring , Ralston Long, b4 brain injury). She choose boating the keys and Bahamas.. Shoulda realized her car interest wasn't real then...oh well..!

Oops sorry, got busy fixing problem I found...Left (driver side) RTAB was ripped, and allowing about 3/8 movement (maybe more under hard acceleration and cornering), what made me ask on here, anyways. THANKS
Ordered poly "street mild track" RTAB's... Can't wait to drive it after install...GREAT car, should bought one when I bought the 350Z!
