E90 2010, any gotcha?

So my wife and I test drove the 1 series and she likes it but I am leaning towards a 3 series. I noticed a CPO available in the dealership that had most of the options/packages I am looking for.. just that the mileage is a bit higher than i wish (over 40k)

Is there anything in particular I should be aware of for a 2010 328i xdrive? Should also mention, would be our 1st bmw..

Don't think there's much to worry about honestly. The e90 328 is one of the best and most reliable vehicles they've produced. If it were me, I'd go for the 3 (and it rhymes).

Thanks, should I be wary that the car is sold at auto auction? Was thinking if I need a ppi even if its certified

PPI all the time, don't skimp on that. Get it checked out so you know what repairs lie in your future. Then look at pricing for those repairs (count in only part cost if you can DIY).

Check tire tread, mix into negotiation. Check for interior trim peeling, mix that in too. Look the paint over as much as you can. Listen for odd idling sounds. Look for leaks inside the engine bay on the oil filter housing gasket, and whatever else you can see. Ask for a detailed maintenance history with the car.

I would get the ppi but it being sold at auction isn't much to worry about. That happens very often with cars that are traded in (especially leases)

You hear some reports that the sound system was cheapened on the 2010 before being put back on the 2011. Listen to your favorite tunes if that is important to you.

The standard stereo in '10 was knocked down a notch. No seatback nets. No insulation under hood. This was all taken out in '10
I have rubber boots wearing out in xDrive, in a E53 X5. But I am in your area too, so not sure if that wear is due to roads and climate up here.

Seattle or Bellevue BMW?

Probably going to Seattle, what would you recommend blademan?

I was reading the thread regarding how 2010 is stripped down, is 2011 version better?
