Cracked oil pan

My experience with a broken oil pan for 525I E34
I was riding on a bumpy road on a Sunday evening, as I tried to run away from a bad & dusty windy environment, could not see clearly through the windshield, suddenly I heard a terrible bung right under my feet, I really felt that something had gone wrong then “Bing” on the dush “ENGINE OIL LOW / COOLANT LEVEL LOW”. Couldn’t stop the engine as the area wasn’t safe to come out. Drove for TWO kilometers and stopped to check under the car. This is pretty much of what was left of my oil pan

Now, around my country, this sort of damage means a big deal, to those who might have the part and I knew I was f**kd. Went around some people I know. Funny enough the part I was coming across was the opposite design of my pan. Was Just about to order a new one over the net when somebody told me it could be put back together. I thought twice, if it would be worthwhile then I’d go for it after all. He referred me to these amazing guys, Brian and he’s teammate called “General” of Alro Engineering - Lusaka. I really couldn’t believe how skilled and crafty these guys could be. After two days I received a call for pickup. Not really bad for an almost smashed oil pan.
