Limp mode after rinse??

Today I went to the car wash... Only rinse my engine for about 45 secs.. Now my car went into limp mode?? Any thoughts?? I need advice?

It`s like playing Russian Roulette....you might get away with it a couple of times, but sooner or later, it`s gonna bite you in the ass. You *should have checked here* before doing this....it`s been discussed here quite a few times before, and there`s plenty of info on how to do it the *right* way stored in our archives.

Let it dry by itself for a day or two....it might fix itself.

You might want to speed up the drying process by removing the belly pan and shooting a fan into the engine compartment for a while.

Thanks SJBimmer it helped a lot removing the belly pan.. Limp more went away.. Hopefully this works. Thanks Fast Rob.. I was trembling for a while..

You were very lucky! Glad it worked out for you! Just clean engine with a damp rag(S). I did the same thing a loooong time ago, so I know the angst you went through. Good luck!
