AC winning noise

I purchased my 2.5 X3 a week ago and I am experiencing a winning noise when AC is on [this is a manual AC not automatic]. It's noticeable when driving at slow speed (up to 40). It's hard to say if it comes from the vents or from the engine compartment. I tried all vents combination (front, legs and windshield) and I can still hear this noise. Any one else have the same problem? I am planning to see dealer soon but I would like to hear some opinion first. Or may be I should drive for a month and see if it will settle down?
thanks! -arthur
