E92 Coupe Lower Mesh Bumper

New to the forum. By any chance do any of you know if this can be replaced with new mesh to make it look like a M-tech or something of that sort? Please let me know. Thank you in advance for your help.

It's the plastic piece by the fog light. Not sure why the picture doesn't show what I am referring to.

The M Sport bumper is an entirely different bumper. Is that what you're trying to achieve?

Well it seems like the lower mesh grill of the stock 328 can be removed and replaced with regular mesh. The stock seems to be a plasticy mesh on the bottom that doesnt even allow ventilation.

This is for the kidney grille? Do you know if these lower mesh grills on a stock bumper can be replaced ?

Check out the options in the pics and in the order form...you can buy either. Strangely enough, if you search the net using the same terminology, you will find that a LOT of tuner shops use the same stock photos, so there must be one company that cuts these things for all of them. I am not crazy about the ones for the kidney grills, but I love the way the lower ones look. $279 for the lowers in black powder coat. It makes me a bit queasy that they offer cheetah print ones, but still look like a reasonable quality replacement for the frankly junky plastic OEM ones.

And yes, the stock ones can be removed/replaced. They clip into the painted OEM bumper.

How is the removal of these? It seems like a lot of BMW parts it is easy to break the clips off almost all the parts on this car.

Well I took another look and noticed that the mesh here seems to be one piece instead of a three piece like the m-sport model. Does yours seem the same?

Well, they make them for whatever yours looks like. Mine is an E91 which has the three piece.

Jonathan, you've shown a picture of an e91 with the LCI bumper. Can you describe or attach a photo of what you are trying to accomplish?

There's at least four OEM bumper options that come on the coupes...

i thought these coupes were considered e92's?

What I would like to accomplish is an m-sport bumper/m-tech (i know it wont be identical) but without the plasticy look of the stock oem bumpers. I would like to change the lower mesh into something breathable and delete the grey plastic by the fog lamp.

If you click on the order now or pricing and ordering links, they have ALL of the options...or at least most of them...and the one to fit the car in the picture is, I believe, the one listed above. Boca, can you confirm? Life is easier with a nerdwagon like mine...it came with 1 grill/bumper option pre-LCI and 1 after!

Not on the car pictured! That fits the E90 sedan. Your car is an E92 coupe. Also, that is an OEM plastic one...not an aftermarket replacement. OEM, by the way, is original equipment manufacturer...so this is the plastic BMW part that you would already have if you had an E90! I swear to god on high that, if you want the metal mesh replacement, the store referenced above sells it. Send them a picture of your actual car, and they will be able to ensure that you are getting the right one, but you aren't going to find one for $50.

I've seen metallic mesh for the pre LCI bumpers that came that way from the factory.

Standard bumper pre-LCI:

Here's the M Sport bumper:

I want to remove these from the picture.

The m-sport and m3 bumper would be nice. But 500-700 bucks on a bumper is not my highest priority at the moment. See attached PDF.

You don't have to replace the bumper. You can take out the plastic mesh and replace it with metal mesh for the prices listed above in post 17.

What would be the terminology for this part? Just want to see if another vendor has it for cheaper.

See post 17, but as previously noted all of the vendors seem to source them from the same manufacturer/fabricator, and sell them for the same price.
