There is a cheap fix for bluetooth audio. It will cost you $15..
Order this part from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Plug it into the ipod y cable in your armrest instead of your iPod
Sync your iphone with this unit and voila! You have bluetooth audio!
The beauty of it is that your iphone will still sync with the car for bluetooth phone use!

I have already done this in my 09 750 and it works beautifully!

Hi TX,
I am not sure if it will work with Android. It maybe worth a try for the $15 though.. Good luck!

2010 750Li - streaming issue

I bought the Bluetooth adaptor and the y cable. I plugged into the USB port in arm rest and connected the Bluetooth device to my iPhone4. I put the iDrive system on Aux but nothing would play. The phone did pair up with the Bluetooth device. Am I missing a step? I really want to be able to play Pandora through the cars audio.

I think the Tune Link uses an FM frequency which I'm trying to avoid as those are a pain to deal with.

You need to use Airplay on your iPhone and select the Bluetooth adapter. I am not sure if Pandora supports Airplay, but iTunes does.

Sure. Will try to take a few pictures after work.

All that I needed to do was attach the bluetooth module I purchased from Amazon directly to the Y iphone cable (the one in the center console which connects to USB and Aux). Afterwards, I set up the bluetooth connection between my phone and the module.

You can either use pandora or music saved to your phone by clicking on the Airplay logo in the bottom right corner of the phone. Just make sure you have your car set to play audio from the Aux input (and not USB).

No it does not. You have to control everything through the phone except volume.

I just ordered one of these, but just a thought...

Bluetooth devices can only be connected to one thing at a time right? So if I am using this for bluetooth audio, I can't use the bluetooth phone function at the same time, and would have to switch it on my phone if I wanted to accept a phone call over the bluetooth system?
