08 335i Start up inconsistencies

When I go out to start up my car after it has been sitting for a while, I notice sometimes that it starts up differently. Sometimes it starts up how I would assume a normal start up should sound, and then others sound as if its starts up weak and putters a little bit until I give it a touch of gas, as if to get the engine into rhythm. Also, I notice that my break is tightened at times when this happens, and its becomes much more difficult to depress the break pedal. Any ideas what these are symptoms of?

It could be an earlier warning for the dreaded HPFP ( high pressure fuel pump) failure.

It's a known issue. If you are under warranty, take it in. My '09 had the same issue and they replaced the fuel injectors.
