E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135.

Initial opinion of 2012 135i

Hello all,

Just received my car yesterday (2012 135i w titanium silver, black leather interior, nav, convenience, prem 2, M sport). Initial opinion is wow! This is my 5th BMW and I can easily see it being the most exciting to drive. It doesn't seem to have quite the same same quality of material in the interior as my last E90, but that's a bit like comparing apples and oranges. 2 different cars, designed with 2 totally different purposes. The DCT strikes me as pretty incredible. Very impressed so far. Hope reliability approaches that of the previous 3 series I've had. If that happens, I can see this car staying in the family for a long time.

I have had a 2012 135i MSport DCT for 10 months now, and I can honestly say it's one of the best BMWs I have had over the years (and I've had 16 of them). It's a keeper, IMO.

I have never had a turbo BMW (wife's X5 excluded) until this 135i. Relative to my other 325s and 328s, this thing is a completely different animal. Not used to the some of the sounds that come from this beast. The exhaust in particular. It's a bit addictive. And the whine from the turbos - nothing like the hardly evident sound of the turbo of the X5. Any insight to help a new 135 owner would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Congrats on the new Bimmer! I'm still waiting on my 128i - one drive and I was hooked!
