2011 328i feels shaky when holding the steering wheel and feels on the driver seat.

I bought the car new last year and believed Igot agood deal as the dealer tried to unload the old sku.

I feels it is kind shaky when it is idling

I hate to tell you this but it's normal. Mine does it as well. Mine is 2006 325i n52 engine.

If you put your hand on the passenger seat when the car is idle you can feel it vibrating. I checked all my engine mounts and everything. I don't think there is anything that can be done about it. I think the main purpose it happens is because the car idles really low. If the idle was increased by say 100 it would probably solve the issue.

It is possible to do this, if it really bugs you I would talk to your dealer about it. I've just accepted mine.

This has been covered quite a bit here. The engine is turbine-smooth under most conditions, but BMW has set the idle speed low to improve fuel efficiency, and at this low idle speed there is a bit of vibration.

I don't know if you can bump the idle by 100-200rpm via coding, or other tricks. I just live with it, as I'd rather save the fuel.

This is definitively not acceptable, BMW should never had let the cars leave the factory like this. I thought this just affected the early generation ones, didn't realise it affects them all. It should be able to idle smoothly without it being felt in the cabin. All my other cars idled at 600 ish and none of them ever vibrated so much and it is soo weird because in saying that I've never had a smoother engine, such a shame it is the way it is.

Also, it is definitively able to be programmed and increased.

There is a whole thread on it. I might to have a go at mine:
