Good question. My previous car was a 335is which I liked but I would want something different. Maybe a MB C63 AMG.

I'd still have my 335d. I only sold it to get the M3.

RS5 would receive serious consideration.

I was poking around at my local Porsche store this week, gotta admit that the 991 Carrera looked really good to me. However, I like to take my German shepherd and friends with me on drives. The 991 is larger than a 997 but it's still a tight 2 + 2.

2nd choice - RS5 looks hot but I do not feel good about my local Porsche/Audi dealer. Even if I could get past the dealer thing, the idea of buying an Audi does nothing for me.

Soooo.....

If I had to choose today - an e92 335is...maybe in vert form ( being in its twilight time doesn't bother me in the least). I have a great BMW dealer in DC (Passport) who looks after me, and all their good works serve to keep me in the BMW corral.

This is a big concern of mine. I need four doors and if something was to happen to my M3 there is currently no sedan I would be excited to replace it with but if I needed to pick one it would be the Panamera. My wife has a new Cayenne and I'm very impressed by it, I really wanted my kids to fit in a 911 and tried it last time I was at our dealer but no go. It's just too tight and the rear speakers are right up on the kids. Pity. I keep my fingers crossed that my car will be fine until the new M3 is available or if it's a dissapointment the Porsche Pajun.

i would take the C63 AMG series 507. it was a tight race between that car and my M3 (which is on order).
