hey folks, need to clairify. i was out the door witht the labor protion of the install @ $450, maybe a few bucks less. i located the hitch from a dealer up on the east coast, New Jersey if i remember. they were running a spring sale, my dealer matched the sale price of $400.

so sorry for any confusion

You will be just fine with a little jet ski. I pull a 21foot boat no problem just not at the speed of light. Only a 15 mile trip.

With respect to towing ability, I think the transmission is typically the weak link in the chain. Is the 35 transmission more robust than the 28 transmission (I don't know if they are the same) with better cooling provisions? It is my understanding transmission temperature is the critical and limiting parameter when towing. If the 35 transmission is the same as the 28 transmission, with no supplemenatry cooling provisions, then the 28 is probably the better choice.
