Hello everyone this is my first time owning a bmw, so im still learning. I just had the oil changed and did the air filter change my self. I was wondering if anyone knew about cabin air filter does the e90 have one? and if so how often does this need to be changed.

It is a snap. Shop online, and get a good price.

Just did mine today. When I reset the service indicator it indicated an interval of 24000 miles.

i think the time spec is two years (assuming 12k a year); however, I'm thinking once a year is probably more realistic in dusty environments like mine....

Off hand, I don't know, I have a 5.

But I bought my Mann cabin filter from Amazon, went through their screen with make, model, and year of car, and the filters fit like OEM ones.

Down to the writing on the side of each filter.

The same filter is used for all E9X's (except M3 according to my packing slip) as I understand it. I looked on http://www.realoem.com to verify the part number and then bought it from Turner Motorsports. Amazon's shipping may be cheaper. Just make sure you get the activated charcoal version.

After 50K your filter will be so clogged I'd be surprised if it lets any air into the cabin at all!

Do it every year or two depending on how they look when you change them. They let your AC work better for one thing.

BMW's is a big one so every two is likely fine. Hondas/ Toyotas etc take seconds to change and super inexpensive so might as well do once a year.
