Car shaking help please!!

Hey guys

06 330xi 95kish miles. When I'm going roughly 80 mph, the pedal area feels shaky. It feels like my front tires are shaking too..Steering wheel feels shaky too but I think it's because the pedal/front tire area shakes. My apologies if my explanation sucks. Again it only happens when I'm going 80 plus, give and take a few mph difference. Any ideas on what's going on here?? I had read on a few forums yday and people were mentioning possible ball joint issue? Can someone help direct towards the right direction? What should I check first? What to look at? Please let me know??

Also.. I'm due for an oil change soon. Can I get a oil filter anywhere or should I get one specially at BMW? Also what kind of oil do I get again? And how much qt/gallon do I use?

Sorry noob here..

Find a good independent mechanic to look at your car if you dont want to pay dealer prices. Dont mess with the front end if you dont know how. Could be tragic.

Did you have to have an auth Dinan dealer install these parts?

YES! You have vibration. What conclusions are we to draw?

If you want a few suggestions, and they are common, here ya go:
  • Wheel Balance
  • Transmission
  • Ball Joints
  • Bushings
  • Drive Train Parts
  • Drive Train Fluid(s)
  • Shocks
  • Torque and play, all mounting nuts/bolts/studs

There is very good news here: Info's in your manual!

Give it a read, and if it's been misplaced, you always have the option of Goggling for a PDF copy.

could be warped rotors too, if it shakes more when you apply the brakes then I would say warped rotors

Have the wheel balanced. It's cheap and the mostly likely cause - my Brother thought I was genius when he had the same issue and that fixed it. Didn't last long though... him thinking I am smart that is

Sorry noob here..
1. Did you mount new tires/wheels recently?
2. Are those wheels on your car "hub centric" and have appropriate "rings" to fit snuggly against the wheel hub?
3. Did you check to make sure that any wheel weights didn't fall off?

...my contribution.

Lol Cal....... He didnt talk me into it...... As discussed before, I preferred the warranty Dian offers as opposed tao the JB or Cobb, which I know you preach about.... Lol
Thebsig is pretty accurate. However, it is well maintained. Had that saying on windscreens of my motorcycles too.

how many miles on your tires? check your tire wear pattern (use phone camera for inner rear tires) if they have uneven wear it's the tires and also do an alignment.
