Costco offer for an F30?

Does anyone know how the Costco deal works for an F30? Is it a $ over invoice, % off MSRP or what? Does it differ by area of the country and even the dealer?
Any insight would be very helpful.
Thanks

You have to buy them in packs of ten.

One local dealer's internet manager also deals with Costco discounts, last Oct he said 1k over dealer invoice(with MACO and training) for Costco members, but I closed another deal for invoice without mentioning Costco. Just shop around and go for the best deals.

Costco works with the national sales office, and a local dealer (in Seattle it's BMW Bellevue for instance). They negotiate a fixed dollar amount over invoice (it could be %, but don't believe so). That price is not as low as you can get by haggling, but it's around 2%-3% over, as opposed to MSRP's 7% or so. If you don't like to haggle, it's an ok deal. I do not know definitively if it's the same in the whole US/CA.

If you go to costco.com and fill out their form, someone from the local dealer emails or calls you.

Costco is a fixed amount over invoice. The amount varies by BMW model and changes over time. The sale is through a dealer (though not all dealers are in the Costco program), who offers a price previously negotiated with Costco.

If you're a Costco member, it's easy to find out the Costco price, which at least is a good starting point. I suspect non-Costco dealers know Costco pricing so you can cut to the chase if you want to shop around. Over the years and 3 cars, the Costco price has been very good but a few hundred over rock bottom.

For a recent F30, again the Costco price was very good but not the lowest. The lowest was $250 less but I went with the Costco deal because of dealership reputation and the no hassle quick in/out. Later, I was impressed that the Costco dealer where I bought found an error in the invoice prices that reduced the bottom line. (This may say more about the dealership than Costco pricing.)

Aside from Costco buying program, ask your bank if they offer such service.
Aside from on the spot haggling, go to bmwconfig.com set the price you want to pay above invoice then contact local dealers to ask for their best offer.
I went with the bank option and paid around $500 over invoice.
Good luck.
