Air cabin filer question

I purchased Fram air cabin filters for my 528. They have arrows on the side (edges) and the
advisory "direction of air flow". It is not obvious to me which way the air flows. Can anyone
advise whether the air flows up or down?

Thanks for your help,
John

Something so simple could've been found so easily and quickly by searching. Here you go.

P.S. Welcome to the Fest!

The air flows up through the filters. When buying cabin filters in the future, look for charcoal impregnated ones. The Fram type will only remove dust. The system was designed for a much higher quality filter that removes odors, pollen and other contaminates. It cost a little more but is worth it.

You've already been referenced all you need - but for the record ...

Typing /cabin air filter F3 in the bestlinks nets this, among others:

Seems to be some differences in the 323i. Some cabin filters are behind the glove box, but my '99 seems to be under the windshield similar to the 325's, but with 5-6 clips vs the 3 twist off caps.
Is there a reason they changed this?

Thanks!
