Just figured we could get a thread going for those of us with the n54's, since we all deviate topics talking about our own things so why not have a dumping ground to shoot the S*

I'll start

Stage 3 suspension is awesome, mine actually lowered the car they had mentioned it might raise it, but mine got lowered, MUCH bumpier but much tighter! Worth the upgrade in my op!

I thought so too, not sure if you have the sport or just STOCK STOCK but there was a big improvement. I'm sure you could save a couple 100 buying the dinan parts individually but I feel its worth it for anyone looking to push the car a little harder.

I like my sport stock, but might go to some coil-overs when I replace.

Bumpier? Why?

Oh, Dinan. Try Ground Control w/all the trimmin's. Might be le$$; handling order of magnitude....you fill in the blank. @ -2 camber, mine's much smoother than stock. Maybe 4" ride height adjustment - I run mine 0.5" lower than stock.

What's the WHP on the stage1+fmic (assuming you have only the tune and the intercooler?)

Cobb doesn't publish the way BMS does or list crank numbers the way dinan does.

But this is the best one I could find on the fly...

I'm doing a dyno next week and will post it up.

Can't recommend the laser quad interceptors enough I've been tagged 3 times and it saved me all 3 it also picks up those laser boxes they set up around town (although not the red light ones at stoplights).

Saved me today I was in a fog just driving (probably about 70 in a 55) music blasting and I heard a faint siren and sure enough a state piggy tried to tag me 3 times, so he shot it stopped telling me, he shot again it stopped, and he shot one last time but by then I was going 57 (he was really looking to get someone as he pulled out a minute later and got someone who I doubt was going over that speed).

WORTH every penny of the 800 bucks!!!

Did you buy an extra 2 for the front? This is what the quad says it comes with online for the BMW edition.

2 BMW Vertical Sensors for Kidney Grill installation and 2 Sensors for the Rear

Yeah I have the two "rear" sensor ones placed on the bottom opposite each fog light and two in the kidney grills.

No drilling kill switch hidden right under plastic for those va cops

That sounds legit, if I only can afford the 4 do you suggest putting all 4 in the front or do two in the front and two in the back?

Did you also install it yourself or did you get someone else to do it?

I was also browsing online and found someone selling a stage 3 dinan suspension for $900 bucks with about 15k miles on it. Since you have a stage 3 dinan do you have this done to it as well and do you think $900 is a good price buying used?

I mean you still have 10hrs of install personally I'm just the kinda guy that says its within what I'd pay to have it new. But yes I'd pay 900bucks for the noticeable change (And drop some people really like lowered cars).

Also I'm sure if you go on dinan.com and write down everything you get then go search out the best parts of each using the various sites you might come close to that 900 or an extra 100 or 200 bucks.

the box was tiny I paid a local indy to do it. If you can run wires I'm guessing this shouldn't be more than 4-6 hours.

3m tape holds up very well on pressure wash too
