wheels

I have a 94 540i and I need to know what wheel spacers to use with 2010 328i sport wheel. The wheels are 17x8. I can't measure because I don't have the wheels here. This is a long distance trade with some spare 19in wheels off my e36.

The 2010 328i style 285 wheels have a 34mm offset.

I'm not sure the wheels will look right on the 540, they would work well on the e36 though. You want to try and acheive the same offset as stock so you will need about a 14mm spacer. You may have to choose between 10mm and 20mm, I'm not sure of anyone makes a 15mm spacer.

At some point you start to tax the wheel bearings because the load is not centered properly for the design of the suspension.

Yep you can buy a 15mm spacer. But a 20mm bolt on one would be good, can use factory BMW nuts to mount the wheels then
