Very Stupid thing to do

Don't laugh...

I was so stupid today

Tried to change my E90 light bulbs

1. Turn wheel away from the car
2. Undo the cover
3. Undo the clip took bulb cover out
4. Undo clip, took bulb out ... new bulb in
5. clip bulb back
6. Put bulb cover back on... OH NO... I drop it inside the wheel guard cover

.....

7. Jack up car
8. Took 6 screws off trying take bottom panel out... it won't come out
....

9. Open the engine hood to get some light
10. the bulb cover just there on bottom panel ... I pick up with my hand...

....

11. Now I have to put all the bottom panels screws back on
....

reverse the process.... light bulbs changed

15 min job became 45 min job

Where did you order the parking light lamp from? Is the parking light lamp (angel eye bulb) the same whether you have Xeon or not?

I've done way dumber things than that.
That is barely a 3 on the stupidometer.

Very Stupid thing to do

I feel for you. Lost both retaining clips for the low beams in the engine bay. Had no way of jacking up the car and it got dark. Had to wait 'til morning to take it to the shop.

Thanks for admitting that but like stated above, that is far from the stupidest thing I've done! Hmmm...How about forgetting to put all of the crush washers onto the new fuel pumps (that were not the right size anyway after ordering off flea bay) that were underneath the car with two pumps and taking three hours to do it? Then...starting the car and watching fuel squirt everywhere and scratching my head as to why. Another hour and they were on. If I had only followed the "included directions"! No squirting after that but it was 2:30 am in the morning and I had to go to work at 5am. What a bonehead!!!

I have also been far more idiotic. Like driving off and realizing an hour away I had left the CA key fob at home.

And for the record, any incidents involving changing bulbs on these headlights - coupe or sedan - I'd hardly consider stupid acts. It's so hard to reach anything if you have human hands. I'm seriously considering training my cat to change bulbs... He can't do any worse than me.
