335 hard top convertible top drain channels

working on the top today after washing my 2007 335 I hard top convertible, HTC
and they have drain channels with drain hoses to drain water that gets in the top channels to drain the water, they have a hose to move the water, and a check valve so if the top is up it wont drain in the trunk , I opened the top about half way and pushed the long pin in on the check valve and water came out, checked the other side and pushed the long pin/check valve in and no water, so I pulled the rubber groment off the receiving portion hose valve that fits to the female portion and just so happen there is a plastic piece in the receving portion that the long pin hits and it was loose and in the drain well. it appears its just a press fit, so I pressed it back into it slot and I blew compressed air in the hoses and cleaned any debris. so hopefully it will drain, so easy to check, when your top it half way up push in the pin if water comes out its clogged or the little plastic piece fell out
