Does my X3 have bluetooth

So I know there have/are lots of issues with bluetooth on thte E83. When I turn BT on in my phone, nothing pops up in the device list (using iphone).

I tried unplugging the module in the rear, no luck. Now i'm wondering if the vehicle even has this option? I've used it on my E90, but the radio is completely different than the Business CD in my X3...there's no menu for it or anything.

Is bluetooth something that was limited only to X's w/ nav? Or has my module gone bad?

I think if it came with BMW Assist and or Premium Package, it will have the bluetooth. At least this is the case on my 2008.

Module

If you have a module in the left rear then I would think perhaps you have bluetooth

You have to of course pair it up so they see each other and this will entail entering a code which I believe is on the module. Here is a link to more than you want to know (I hope)- http://www.bimmernav.com/BMW_Bluetoo..._Overview.html

Here is pic, you will have to blow it up, that shows where the code is on the module- http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/att...1&d=1200207221

Here is a link to the online manual with a video on bluetooth that may also be of help- http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...modelcode=0765

Thanks guys. Nothing is coming up when I try to pair the phone...so I'm guessing the module has gone bad.

Any idea how much a new module costs?

Funky

The interface is a bit touchy, I would have my BMW dealer have a go at it before buying a new unit. I had a hard time getting mine synced up but it works really good once you get it connected.
