New to this forum and reading thru threads? Did you ever get this resolved? Possibly a vacuum leak. Did you remove the intake to do this job?

Are you getting any codes? I see you have a '95 so you would need to do a Stomp Test. I would sure use some brake cleaner to check for vacuum leaks esp around the manifold.

Flywheel won't turn over. Can barely see a little glistening in the oil.

Do you see the chain when you look down thru the oil cap hole? Doesn't really matter if the engine is locked up. If you replace the engine, make sure it is an M60 from another '95. The prices you quote are certainly reasonable.

Yes. I see the chain. It is tight not loose. The cooling fan clutch is locked up.

I'm not a mechanic, but i do a lot of research.also, i'm a bargain hunter. I never in my life have taken a car to a dealer. Never had a reason too. This is the first time i've had a major problem with a car.when my brother was running a shop when i bought this car, i repaced the ac compressor for under 100 dollars thats parts and labor with a 6 month warranty.the cars are only expensive repairs if u want them to be. Its used so i buy used parts when i can.

My first thought was the crankshaft position sensor. I still need to check it. If its 500 ohms. This causes the engine to shut down also.

That sensor would not cause the engine to lock up. It sends the signal to the DME that the car is cranking so it will send signal for spark and fuel. It does not prevent the car from cranking over. Just keeps it from starting.

My engine temp sensor is bad also. Got the part to replace it. My temp gauge never acted up. Always straight up and down once running. Engine did feel pretty warm when it locked up.
