Crossovers???????

Hey guys, Stupid question really but I'm trying to understand somethings here....

I was looking at the BMW series and they said they have two cars in that series that are crossovers.... BMW series 3 has the X 1 and X 3.. So I'm just wondering if that means that they are crossovers???

I saw a lot of info on Wiki saying that they are and some people saying that they are but no info on the BMW website that I can see.. and I also have a lot of other guys telling me that there are no crossovers in the BMW series 3 range....

Can anyone explain this to me?

Thank you,
Vanessa.

The BMW 3 series has coupe, convertible, sedan, and had wagons. TheX series are SAV, sport activity vehicles. X1,X3, X5, and X6. The X1 actually looks like a station wagon though.

Lets say if people owned a BMW and asked them is this a crossover? they would say, "its an SAV" < Sportier name for SUV.

If people docent own or docent know anything about BMW and dosent own one, asking the same question, they would respond, "its a Crossover or SUV"
