Tell Me Why I Shouldn't Try This

I'm tired of halogen headlights and need to do something about this. On my previous truck I bought OEM halogen housings that had a projector lens and threw a HID kit in, did a proper aiming, and found the result to be actually pretty good.

Ideally I'd love to get OEM bixenons retrofitted on, but that's a bit pricey. I have been looking at umnitza's and fishcake321 headlights as I've heard some good things about those. I'm just worried that the Depo housing looks a bit cheesy with the black eyebrows and all.

Then I found these: http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...id=52432069559

They are ridiculously cheap and every fiber of my being says don't do it, but at the same time they look nice and what if... Does anyone have any experience with these?

Please talk me in/out of this!

Exactly. I was hoping not to be a guinea pig.

I've seen these in person and it just looks very cheap - like a civic with ebay parts. The quality on these cheap ebay lights is also terrible - I see them around here full of condensation. Additionally, very low quality reflectors. Why not find some headlights at a junk yard?

You have trouble seeing at night or are you just looking to make the car look like HIDs?

Thanks. That's exactly what I needed to hear. Junkyard is an option I'll have to look into.

Mostly visibility, and a tad of vanity... Which is why I shouldn't cheap out. Thanks for knocking some sense back into me.

You don't want original xenons from the junkyard. It isn't just a matter of fitting them in and having xenon lights. You would need a lot of programming, new sensors, wiring it's actually quite a lot of work to go from halogens to (genuine)xenons. What you are looking for is something HALOGEN aftermarket of decent quality.

That product is a knock off of a knock off. And it is using very cheap plastics that within 3-6 months get destroyed from UV exposure.
People have learned about these type of lights in the E46 and E39 world

My goodness those guys do some beautiful work.

By the way, I'm completely un-sold on those original ones. I knew I could count on everyone to tell me what I knew and didn't want to accept.

We've done a significant amount of work on custom setups both ourselves and through our partners that do work using our Orion V2 and Orion V4 products. Here's an example from our facebook page.

I've heard good things about your lights. (Not trying to turn this into a giant infomercial.) I'm curious about the lights on the LCI sedan in the first three pics. They seem different from the ones on your site... White eyebrow, incandescent corner lights. Am I correct?

it's depending on what the customer wants. Some are projector90 headlights, some are retrofits, some are very custom retrofits, so it all depends on what you're planning on doing WHEN you do it

Those headlights project 1080p 3D images?
Do I need to wear those ugly 3D glasses while driving too?
