E90 BMW PE vs. Active Autowerke Exhaust

The car: E90 2007 328XI Sedan

I have been looking at exhausts for a while, and i am torn between the Active Autowerke exhaust and the BMW Performance Exhaust. I am looking for a deep tone, loud but not too loud, im not looking for tickets. I just want something that will turn heads and make the car sound more sporty. Can anyone give me their opinion? What sound clips are most accurate, i dont want to be fooled by a lousy recording. Does throttle responsiveness change on either? Please help me out, i dont want to be uninformed and regret the choice i make. Thank you for your help/reading this.

I have a thread concerning my thoughts on the BMW PE. I would say that the sound clips I heard were largely unrepresentative of the in-person audio note.

Concerning performance, I have noticed that the lag between "pedal down" and "vroooooooooooom" has been reduced particularly in the 2500 rpm area. This was verified by my fiance who couldn't care less about cars.

I put the BMW PE on my 2007 328i (NA I6) and after 1500 miles it just keeps getting better. From inside the cabin and out, you hear it when you push the pedal but there is zero drone at speed. It's the right mix of a little more agressive while staying classy.

I installed the PE to get more engine note. First 'cause I like it, but second because it makes shifting the 6MT a real pleasure... you hear the shift point better.

The silver tips are also a nice, but subtle addition.
