Reflectors replaced

Finally got a chance to remove the god awful orange and red reflectors on my 335.

The rear were easy, but the front were a little hard because I have the camera system above each tire. So that made for a tight fit to get my hands in there.

Nice and clean, I like it. Also, props on the red calipers, though I wonder how they'd look in EBII

Just wondering, aren't the reflectors there to meet some safety requirements?

Yes, the reflectors are for safety reasons by Dept Of Transportation. I also drive with my lights on at night, so people can see me just fine.

Most US cars have reflectors built into the light housing. The German's like to give us these awful red and orange strips in the body of our cars.

I love the red brakes...they will pop even more when I get my matte black 19" summer wheels put on.

IND on-line. I believe the cost was $75 for the rear set. E-mail them and they will get you all set up. I went with a color to match diffuser vs going with body color.

Your front reflector is more vertically oriented while BJ's pic shows a horizontal orientation. Is that a difference between the 328 and 335 or the difference between the Luxury and M Sport?

hmmm....they both look good, but I have to say doing the rears is more of a safety compromise than I would make. I would suggest you make a very concerted effort never to park on the street.

Luckily we don't have to put up with these down here!

The car definitely looks better without them IMO.

Be safe.

The M-Sport has the curved reflector seeing how much it looks like an E90 LCI.

All other F30's have a straight reflector which is way too dominant, looks like a band aid.

for safety reasons those reflectors are added, they are on most new cars i have noticed, i does not bother me, people drive like idiots every bit that make them aware/alert helps. i would rather have the reflector than a big scratch or dent.

xenon headlamps will not aid the side or back reflectors.

I think the front reflectors look awesome on the M Sport. I would pay money to have that. I have a friend who had seriously considered becoming a car designer commented that (with a little exaggeration) that those reflectors alone are worth buying the M Sport package for. The european m sport without the reflectors looks blend imho.

Angry Can't remove front side reflectors!

Hello folks,
Today I tried to remove the ugly yellow front reflectors and replace them with colored ones.
I spent almost two hours trying to remove the driverís side reflector but to no avail. That adhesive is super strong! I pushed with my thumbs for a while (they are now purple). I grabbed the edged of the reflectors from the inner side of the bumper and tried the pry tool but impossible to get a good angle.
Keep in mind that I have the side view cameras and limited space, I almost pull one of the cables accidentally and very afraid of messing up the cameras.
I have seen YouTube videos, and forums with instructions on how to do this but could not do it.
I have not tried the hair dryer since I live in a condo and there are no power outlets in the garage. I donítí think that blowing hot hair into the cameras would be a good idea. How did you avoided messing up your cameras with the hair blower?
My only option is to go to a self-serve garage ($30 the hour) and try the hair blower approach and see if makes any difference?
What do you think? Any suggestions, encouragement, tips will be valuable. I am incredible frustrated by this, I knew this would mess up my hands and arms, but it happened without any results ***61516;
Thanks for your advice!

Unhappy

Very clean!!! I just installed mine today and I noticed that the pain doesn't match...

I sent a message to the vendor and I'm hoping they're able to send me color matching replacements.

What year is your car (same as in your sig, 2013?) Just wondering if it is mis matched paint, or the fact that your car might have faded a little.

Can you guys direct me to a site where I can buy different color reflectors?

I have a 4 series gran coupe. Looking to go with black as it matches the m-sport package and I haven't been able to find black.

Thanks in advance.
