Big Brake Kit V M3 brakes

Hi a friend of mine is selling his brake set off his 2008 e92 M3, and I wanted them for my 07 e92 335i. This lead me to hear to fact check some things, first will it fit DIRECTLY on. By that I mean no modifictions to the stock kit, not even simple mounts. Second, whats the difference between the M3 brake kit and Brembo's Big Brake Kit for the e92 335. lastly, he wants 700, is it worth that or is the big brake kit the brembo sells more my car better. Any help would be appriciated

Why do you need bigger brakes? Looking at the 335 brakes, the calipers look identical to the OEM M3 brakes. I am wondering if they are the same size. Unless you are running advanced group on slick tires at track days, you don't need a BBK - braided lines, racing brake fluid (Motul 600, Ate Blue/Gold or Castrol SRF) and track pads are more than enough until you reach an advanced stage in your driving.

M3 brakes are 2 piston sliding caliper brakes, whereas Brembos and the like are either 4 or 6 smaller piston fixed calipers. Sliding calipers have a bit of unnoticeable "give" in them, whereas fixed calipers are much more solid and precise in transmitting brake feel/pressure. On the street, the difference is negligible.

$700 is a good deal...Brembos are going to cost $6500 all round, StopTechs $5300...plus you will probably need bigger wheels to fit over them.

I don't believe they will fit, because of the hub, but you should be able to call an independent shop and verify.
