In that scenario you could place your order prior to the event.

If you've already ordered the car you would have to cancel the order or get your dealer to reclassify it as Priority 3. If the car is built and delivered in Priority 1 status it will be ineligible for the incentive.

If your dealer is willing to do this the main effect it will have on you is that it might cause some delay in when the car is built, shipped, and delivered, because Priority 1 orders have priority over Priority 3 orders on the production schedule.
My understanding is that you CAN order Priority 1 but not until the event is completed. I thought I recall even reading fine print somewhere that the incentive is not available for orders PRIOR to the event which infers orders after would be ok. That is correct. The post you quoted was in response to someone asking about orders placed prior to the event.

Good luck!

I doubt it is transferable since it has my name associated with it. But they are easy to get if you can sign up for the event.

Just signed up! ...Question...I can negotiate the price of the car and then present this incentive right? Or will they give me a hard time about it?

Yup. This is just icing on top of the cake. You can also apply all other incentives available, I believe.

I signed up for the event at Leith BMW in Raleigh. I'll be in the market at the end of the year or next year and want some more seat time in the F30. I'm excited.

I signed up a while ago for the Rockville event, but never got an email confirmation - is that normal?

Hmm, that's odd. Try signing up again. The confirmation doesn't come from us, it comes from BMW telling you that you're registered since you're doing it through the BMWUSA website.

Figure it out. I tried registering again and said I already had. I ended up finding the confirmation in my SPAM box (Gmail).

I'm all set. Looking forward to it. Thanks

I did the event this morning and to be honest it was pretty lame. Based on what somebody else reported, I arrived 10 minutes early so I wouldn't have to wait. I was told they don't have any 3-series in the travelling show stock, so I had to wait and take a test drive with one of the dealer's cars and a sales guy. The guy who registered me said there was only one person ahead of me so it shouldn't be too long.

Good thing I brought along my kindle, as 45 minutes later I was still waiting. Not a single member of the dealer's staff came by to say hi even though I spent some time poking around the various cars on the floor (and I've bought 2 cars from this dealer). Anyway, after 45 mins I asked one of the roadshow people if I needed to do the test drive in order to get the 1k credit. She said no and that I could take off if I wanted to. So I did.

They did have X1, X3, 6-series, and 7-series, so if you're interested in driving one of those you'll probably have better luck. They also had a panamera and e-class available for test drives for comparison. If you just want the 1k credit, then just drop by to get registered and take off without the drive (after verifying that you can, of course). I would recommend doing that, then going back to the dealer later for a more personal (and faster) experience.

If you are going, adjust your expectations and just have some fun.
You shall have been here at BMW West today. There isn't a line & those vehicles beg to be driven. I check in @ 2pm with no wait, drive a few cars & left with tote bag + goodies by 2:30pm.

I love that M-sport 6 GC /w cinnamon brown leather.

My experience could not have been more opposite. I walked in 10 mins late, my sales rep asked "what do you want to drive" and before I could respond he said "let's go drive the Mercedes" ($100K S Class ridiculousness). I am in the market for a 328i, and my sales rep knows it. I also drove a 5 series, 3 series, and 640i Gran Coupe which was AWESOME.

Well today it was my turn. I arrived 10 minutes early, they asked me if I wanted to do the test drive or just get the incentive. Of course I told the lady I wanted to test drive so I registered literally in 3 minutes. I asked about a 3 series and they told me they did not have one available. I asked what was available and I jumped into a 640i Coupe almost immediately. I was surprised they give you the car a printed paper on what streets you are allowed to drive in, but no one sits with you. I returned waited like 5 minutes and jumped into a Mercerdes CLS550.

They offer me to continue test driving but it have to wait from 5 to 20 minutes upon the car, so I decided to take the survey and ask for my certificate. They told me the would send it via email in max 72 hrs.

I went to see my sales rep to see the status of my car, and he told me he just needed the code with the rebate to be able to put the car under my name, but he already gave me my chassis and confirmed my order number and I was able to track my new car online.

This is the current status of my car:

Find attached some pictures of the event:

Arriving at the Event Registration table:

1st car I tested. 640i Coupe w/M Sport 3.0-liter, TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder engine with 315 horsepower:

2nd car I tested. Mercedes CLS550 4.6L biturbo V-8 with 402 Horsepower

Is the $1000 incentive good for any BMW dealerships? Or only to the one where you attended for the event?
