Any problems doing this?

My Trinity Auto LED's shorted, super bummed out! So, I have a nice set of H8 HID's and decided to install those for the AE's. so far so good, and damn they are Bright! I don't get any flickering, but I do get a code when using them with the low beams xenon's, which is fine cause I usually drive with my parking lights & fogs unless weather is horrible- No codes there- Is it ok to run HID for AE's? Or can I potentially fry something? I don't want to drop another $200 on crapy cheaply made LED's that don't last.

Actually what you describe is usually what happens to HIDs. I know many people that had HID and they lasted on average 3-6 months. Even when I upgraded to LCI headlights on my old car the headlights I bought came with HID AE and they had melted the wiring to the AE's. HID runs way hotter than LED. Did you contact Trinity? Their LEDs have a lifetime warranty.

Great thanks man, I guess back to the drawing board. I did contact joe, he said check the connections which I did, and one LED barley lit up. Very dim... So I will contact him again. For now I'll replace with a standard h8 bulb. Just tired of messing around with these lights already

LOL, I know, on my old car I had over a dozen different AE, including the ones on the LCI headlights. Every time I got comfortable with a set they came out with brighter ones.

Yup, they've been in the car since the week I bought it. About 3 months now, no issues whatsoever. I was actually going to get their 12w LEDs, but when I took it to them they had just gotten the 20w CREE in so I had them do those instead .
